"Battle Partners" Set Officially Unveiled: A Return to the Owner’s Pokémon Era!
Exciting news for Pokémon TCG fans! At Japan’s Champion’s League Osaka, the highly anticipated Battle Partners set was officially revealed. Featuring the return of the beloved Owner’s Pokémon mechanic from 2000’s Gym Heroes, this set promises to be a nostalgic treat for collectors and competitive players alike.
What We Know So Far
The booster pack art has given us a sneak peek at some of the star Pokémon:
- Iono’s Bellibolt ex
- N’s Zoroark ex
- Lillie’s Clefairy ex
- Hop’s Zacian ex

Release Dates and Rotation Changes
- Japan Release Date: January 24, 2025
- English Release Date: March 28, 2025 (Journey Together set)
The Japanese release will also introduce the new “I” regulation mark, marking a significant rotation for competitive play. Starting January 24th, all “F” regulation cards will rotate out, leaving only “G,” “H,” and “I” cards in the format.
